H is for Hoover Dam

Was this was the first or the second time that I saw Hoover Dam? I know for sure that it was October 94. And that French accordion music was playing on the cassette player as I drove s-l-o-w-l-y through the curves around the dam. And that it was all very surreal.

    I've been to Hoover Dam once. It's a surprisingly cool place.

      I know! Sometimes these tourist spots rise to the hype. As I recall, they had a great selection of old time souvenirs in the gift shop. Didn't take a tour, but I bet it's interesting to see the inner workings of the power station.

    I"ve been there once. The Hoover Dam is so huge. You have to see it to believe it.
